Since we got married in the Spring we named our tables after flowers, ie: Hydrangea, Peonies, Tulips etc. I printed out pictures of the different flowers and put them in frames with the flower name printed on it.

We are naming our tables after places we have been on vacation. We are also adding some in for places we want to go on vacation since we haven't been to 20 places together.

We named our tables after bars that we hung out in. So our college friends were at the tables names after bars that we hung out in college, our parents friends were at tables named after places we've never heard of but they grew up in and so on. Everyone loved it, one of my friends actually took the table card home with her to show her sister (also alumni of the same college)

I love that idea and I also had another one, to name the tables after nightclubs/bars we used to go to. For many years we went out on a regular basis, so I thought that would be meaningful.

Etc...you get the idea, this probably wouldn't work for anyone else since it is so personal.

That sounds like something i would say!

Although my FH is a big sports fan, so maybe we'll incorporate that a little... favorite players or their jersey #'s, favorite teams, etc. We'll see.

I am not doing table naming, but I've been to 1 wedding that the bride was an avid reader and named her tables after her favorite authors then she used book marks as favors.

We named ours after oceans/harbors we have visited/sailed on. This went with our nautical theme. We printed the names out on prints of an antique nautical chart of Port Jefferson Harbor, where Danfords is located.

Examples:
Bar Harbor
Cheseapeake Bay
Caribbean Sea
Long Island Sound
Prince William Sound
Atlantic Ocean

Also if you are naming your tables, how are you displaying your names?

I was thinking of doing ours in a frame w/ a picture of us (ie., Bar Harbor table w/ a pic of us on vacation there & maybe w/ a little story?)
