Nannies

Hey ladies,

I was wondering for those of you who have nannies, how did you find them? I'm hoping to find someone on a part-time basis, you know so I can go to the gym and all that... I live in the Bronx and every place that I've searched is very expensive... I guess because they are in the city.

I have some time (at least until February or March), but I was hoping to have something in mind.

start talking about this to everyone you meet...I am NOT KIDDING. You may be surprised at who might know someone,etc.
Ask your drs
ask your neighbors
check to see if your town had a city run daycare
check with your church/temple
when you are out and about and see parents with their little ones..stop and ask them! ( we did this esp regarding strollers and people are VERY helpful!)
