i LOVE Napa valley and northern cali. will you be in San Fran too?

you must go see the Robert Mondavi vineyard-it's so pretty! also, the coppola-neibaum vineyard is beautiful.

if you need restaurant rec's, FM me. we spent 9 days there 3 years ago, then another 5 days last year when we got engaged.

Re: Napa....

I went there two years ago with DH and we had an awesome time. Another person just asked about this a few weeks ago. We LOVED Quintessa, Frog's Leap, and Sterling. There wasn't one place we didn't like.

Re: Napa....

I loved Mondavi!! I was in complete awe when we drove up. We had a nice picnic at V. Sattui, the people in the tasting room at Sutter Home were so nice, we stopped @ Plump Jack, b/c it sounded cute. When we drove, we took the parallel road to the top and worked our way down. My advice to you is to start from the top of the vineyards and work your way down since most people start in the bottom, you'll avoid some of the crowds. If you're going to SF, I would recommend Alcatraz. We did the self audio tour, so we went at our pace.

Re: Napa....

I live in Napa!! Have been here for my entire life, so I could definitely recommend some places. I agree with what others that Sterling is nice, but Artesa is great. Personally I don't like Mondavi, it's a little too played out and on the beaten path. If you can go to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in St. Helena I would. In the city of Napa, Cole's Chop House, Alegria, Angele, and Celedon are tasty; don't go to Tuscany. Rutherford has LaToque and Rutherford Grill. Let me know if have any other questions or ideas.
