Re: Nassau County Cancellation Policy?
nassau county doesnt have a law like suffolk does. It all depends on your rh and whatever their policy is. Its on the back of your contract and will say every little thing.
For example i remember with JT it was something like if i cancelled and they were able to book another wedding for the same date it had to be of equal or greater value, even if they booked another wedding but for less money bc less guests or whatever, i would've owed the difference. Then also when you do it and a bunch of other stuff i cant remember word for word right now. Plus you dont get deposit back, you can lose your money depending on the circumstance, like if they dont book another wedding and in some situations you can still owe. It all depends
But read your rh contract, there is a cancellation policy

First i have to say is..your hair looks great! lol, lol, lol,
In the contract is says I don't get anything back but I was hoping there was a law that could over write it. I have another question say in my contract it has all the things they were going to provide say linens, liquor, food and such. now I want to supply the liquor and linens. Making my amount less. if my contract doesn't state that I not allowed to change anything. I should be able to do it then?

Awww thank you
yeah no law for nassau sorry
Well you would have to talk to them bc as far as food and beverage most have a VERY strict policy that you cant bring food and drink from outside bc if anything happens they dont want responsibility. Linens such as napkins and table overlays you dont really get charged extra so not sure if they would take off money for linens, plus renting it is not cheap so it would just be extra money you will spend.
when i had eparty at CLM i was gonna rent colored napkins and i asked, but they werent taking off anything from the price

In general you can't just change terms of a contract, any modifications to a contract after it's been signed has to be agreed upon. They are guaranteed you're gonna pay $X, they can't be forced to change the terms so they get less from you unless you built that into the contract. Just like they can't up the price on you because they feel like it.

I am getting married at the queens farm so I had to hire and off premise caterer. The farm only supplies chairs and tables.

so its the caterer you dont want to get the drinks and linens from? if so you have to check what the contract says. Maybe you can get just food from them and not alcohol, will depend on them. I would call them and ask what your options are

Re: Nassau County Cancellation Policy?
Yes, It does say I provide my own liquor. Even though he said he would but he couldn't put it on the contract because his business does not have a liquor license. It also say they can provide for my linens and chair covers but I can also get them myself.
