Nassau County Museum of Art

Anyone have thier wedding there? or even get someone to call you back?

was thinking of having my wedding there....i sent an e-mail to the e-mail address i found on the NCMA website and they got back to me the next afternoon...if you'd like prices please let me know!

funny this should come up. i had never heard of the Nassau County Museum of Art until last week when i had to go there for my art class. The grounds are beautiful, and there are sculptures everywhere. Right now they have it set up with HUNDREDS of jack-o-lanterns lining the walkways, and in the field. i wish i had brought my camera when i went.
My class met at 3.30, and we all had to pay to get in (which my professor forgot to tell us!) and at 4.30, they got really nasty and yelled at us that they were closing and we had to leave NOW. There was a museum volunteer working with my professor to teach our lesson and she tried to talk them into giving us an extra 10 mins, and they were so mean and kicked us out.

i'm sure this has absolutely nothing to do with having a wedding there. Like i said, it is very pretty. i never would have even thought of it. do they have catering, or would you have to do it all yourself?

(i'd been needing to vent about that whole experience, so thanks and sorry!)

they have an outside caterer...the catering company is actually the one that responded to my inquiry...they're very nice...NCMA is very expensive though...just to warn you

ETA: I'm really sorry that you had such a bad experience with the museum...that really stinks
