Nassau County Museum of Art question/help!

I am looking into the museum for my wedding ceremony, and I think the gardens are beautiful. My only concern is the in case it rains. I was told that a tent would be provided at an additional cost. My concern is that if it rains I obviously wouldn't be able to use the gardens for pictures and the tent area seems so empty and cold..Im not sure that paying almost twice as much to have the ceremony in a tent with no photo options is worth booking it and hoping it doesnt rain..Has anyone had their ceremony at the museum and then had to use the tent as a back up? Do they provide additional areas in the museum for pictures? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I wanted to use this location soooo bad but it was $6500 for the location and then the caterers quoted me almost $200 a person. The whole reception is tented. They did tell me that you can use part of the museum for pictures, so there is that.
That's all I found out though because I didn't bother to go visit for more info. Good luck!

Unfortunately, I can't help you. I went to a wedding in a museum at Newark in the summer time. It was beautiful. The cocktail hr was outside and the reception was inside. Not sure where cocktail would have been if it had rained. It was such an awesome idea and I'm sure it wasnt cheap.

I looked into them before we booked Fox Hollow - it was actually my favorite. However, everything is pretty much in one room so that killed the mood for us. They let you take some pictures inside, but the CH and dinner is all in a tented area adjoining the building. Depends on what you're going for, but we wanted a place that was unique and beautiful - like the Museum definitely is - but also had room for everyone to move around with different spaces.

I was looking into the Museum for my ceremony since I cant do it at Westbury Manor. Does anyone know what indoor options they have for pictures?
