I am using Rocco at Camelot Studios. He did my twin sister's wedding, and it came out great. He was also pretty reasonable. One thing we really liked was that he is very current with the technology. For example, he gives you the option of having your proofs on a cd, instead of loose.

HI- If you only want Nassau, I would try Patken. I was quoted a little more than $2,000 for a decent amount of things...I believe it included a 30 picture album, 3 parent folios (instead of albums), some 8x10's, a very large one (can't remember the exact measurements - but if I didn't want such a large one, they would give me more 8x10s), 80 thank yous and 5x7's for the entire party (14). If you're willing to travel to Suffolk (which I was - I'm in Long Beach), you should definitely check out VIP Studios in Port Jeff. They are listed here on LIWeddings. I got the same amount as Patken for a little less money ($2,000 even), and they were offering 2 photographers, where Patken was offering one. Both are wonderful. Good luck to you and keep us posted...

Glenmar Studios in Roslyn
516-484-4646 We got a great deal for $2100, which included 2 photographers. I'd call them and check them out - they advertise only by word of mouth so they don't have a website. I think they've been in business for over 30 years. We spoke with Rob Sheridan.

I've priced out Cassarino Studios, and while they do great work, my fi and I found them to be pricey. We ended up with proline photographers (who got a great reviews) and they gave us more for less money. They were also very flexible and you get the photographer for the entire day/night. They told us that we can ask them to come at any time to start taking pics. and they leave the reception after we do (not meny places do this, they leave after the cutting of the cake, so check with who ever you hire). On a side note, when I asked freinds and co workers about cassarino, they had neg things to say about them. They all agreed that they were pushy and not flexible as they only did it there way. (I haven't hired them so I don't know from personal exp.) hope this helped. PS- proline has 2 locations- one in nassau (not quite sure where, and one in huntington (closer to me).If you look them up on the internet, they'll tell you. And they also do free engagement photo's once you sign a contract with them.

I've heard that Cassarino is pricey too. I did a ton of research before actually starting my photographer search, and I didn't even meet with them because I knew they were out of my price range by info. I received from other brides...

I have to say that Gray Studios is supposed to do outstanding work - I've never heard anything but rave reviews. They are also the house photographer for my reception hall. But I've also heard they are very expensive (although well worth the money), and I believe above your $2,000 budget...just thought you should know. But if you're willing to spend a lot more, then from what I hear, you should definitely check them out.Welcome New Vendors
