Nassau County Pre-Cana

Does anyone know where I can get info? We are moving to Garden City next month and have to change our pre-cana from NYC to what I assume is the RVC archiocese - any info appreciated!

Re: Nassau County Pre-Cana

I called the Diocese of RC the other day. they only gave me info about the 'engaged encounter' which is a weekend away at a retreat center. (Um, no thanks) It costs $350!!
So I would start calling parishes in the GC area and see what they have to offer. Try this website for local church phone numbers: My Church & Town
Since we can't make the pre-cana my church offers, I've been calling around trying to find one that fits our schedule.

Re: Nassau County Pre-Cana

When we started looking for Churches, we just went into the local ones in our towns and said we were considering getting married there.

We met with a priest and discussed pre-cana in that meeting. We did that in his Church and mine. I'm not a parishoner there but I live in the town so that's all you need. They did ask me to register as one but it's no big deal.

Re: Nassau County Pre-Cana

Either talk to the church you're getting married in or the priest that is marrying you or call the Diocese of Rockville Centre (which includes Garden City) at 516-678-5800.
