Nassau/ W. Suffolk County Apartment Complex

Good Morning... My fiance and I are weighing out our options on either buying a small house or renting an apartment for the first year. Do any of you ladies live in an apartment complex in either Nassau or Western Suffolk County. Do you like the complex are dogs allowed. I've been looking online and some accept pets but have a weight limit of 40-50lbs. My Yellow Lab is abnormally large at approx. 100lbs. We spoke with a few places who would accept him because he is a yellow lab but boy it's hard to find a place that allows pets.

Great Neck has a ton of apartment buildings, and I know a bunch of them allow pets. You should check that area out.

I recall seeing apartments in Mineola and Lynbrook when I lived on LI years ago. Google them or contact real estate agencies. It's very hard to rent here in Morris County, NJ in a complex that allows dogs. People who rent out houses sometimes allow dogs. We have problems finding places that allow CATS even!

thanks ladies... Our lab wasn't suppose to get that big. He was the runt. Who are they kidding at 100lbs.
