A friend of mine from work just called me up and i got very mad at something that was said to her...
She is a larger woman. But, who cares. Her husband is in shape. but again, WHO CARES...
I dont even knowhow to explain it so I am going to write the convo
'Jenny, want to hear the worst thing Ive ever heard anyone say?' 'Oh god. Why?' 'Judy said something to me and it made me so upset' 'Oh geeze' 'She said that when she looks at wedding pictures, its hard for her to imagine fat girls getting married' 'WHAT?' 'Yeah Jenny, she was like 'I dont know, when i see pictures of a fat girl and a thin guy engaged its hard to picture them getting married'. So i turned around and said 'what fat women dont get married? Im getting married' 'And what did she say' 'She goes'i dont know. its just hard to picture. Its like hard to see a fat woman getting married' 'So what did u say?' 'I hung up'
I mean come on. Do people really think that way? I told her that its insane and not to let it bother her but she said if one person thinks it that obviously its more than one..

My cousin who is on the large side is marrying a large gurl and she is really a beautiful gurl regardless... Its when people wear things that dont fit them, gets me annoyed... There are very flattering plus size gowns for these gurls... no need to say they shouldnt be married

'10 here...but i just have to say...yeah its insane...but its sad to say people think it..
i'm a big girl and my FH is super skinny..like a twig...and people make fun of us (mostly me because i'm big) all the time....even my mom! she says we look like one of those cartoon couples and says i need to loose weight because i'm going to look rediculous in a white gown being as big as i am (little does she know i'm not wearing white )
tell your friend just to brush it off because there are going to be ignorant people out there EVERYWHERE and you're not going to be able to change them...I just think to myself..FH met me this way...loves me just the way I am...and proposed to me this way...he knew what he was getting into from the start and he loves me just the way i am

This person sounds like someone who is in need of making people feel bad about themselves. I doubt she is an 'idiot.' She probably knew just what she was doing. Then again, I don't know her but it is just hard to believe anyone could be that dumb! I also doubt that this person is perfect. We all have our imperfections or something we are insecure about. The point is that when someone really loves you, they love all of you. They really love you for who you are, and not how you look. We are all lucky brides who have someone who feels that way about us. Your friend needs to remember that and forget this rude remark!

This goes back to what I said a few days ago... girls who are jealous are that and just that! It's amazing that people have to attack others because some people are happy and that girl obviously leads a sad life!

Wow, that is really ignorant and inconsiderate of someone's feelings. Who cares what size you are? Remember that a lot of times people make comments and they're really not about you, they're just caught up in their own issues (whether they admit to it or not).
