Have any of you had confrontations with straight out rude vendors?
I'm not getting married until 2010 but I've started the planning process already. Some vendors dont take me seriously because my weddings almost 2 years off. They give me attitude when I ask for pricing and packages or ask to meet with them. Frankly, I think its responsible of me to start this early....especially when fh and I have insanely busy lives. These vendors will be losing my business. What do you girls think? Have you had similar experiences?

I probably wont be using my RHs reccommended vendors...I got pulled into that trap at my bat mitzvah years ago haha. thanks for the support though...the vendors were starting to make me feel as though I was crazy for starting to plan this early

Definitely not crazy. I would keep you list, the ones that get ridiculously out of line with you cross them off-the ones that kind of say 'its too early' maybe consider keeping them and call at the end of the year

been there!
we were engaged in 2005---and i was looking for vendors for our 2007....some vendors would act as if i wasn't a 'serious' enough bride. puh-lease!! if i'm paying for it--i wanna know what i need to start saving early---and lock in prices early!
nothign wrong with planning early---if vendors treat you rudely---move on!
