National do not call list

To sign up for the National do not call list to stop solicitors from calling your home.

www.donotcall.gov

Just in case anyone is interested!!

I did this 2 months ago & the calls have not yet stopped

I finally wrote them & they said it takes up to 6 months sometimes to update their list

They had a big thing on the news this morning. They said you can sign up now and it goes into effect in October. I have signed up on lists too. It sounds like this one is new and national, that other lists were state lists. It said today that if they call you after you are on the list the company calling can be fined up to 11,000.00

Ok I am going to do it again.

Liz, I have been home from work for 2 months with my back & I get these calls all day long, & night time too during dinner.

I think it is so annoying

I did it too but it said I would get an email in a few minutes...... that was almost an hour ago??

OK I lied...I got the page could not be displayed message and jsut posted on ehret oo quick that I signed up. Tammy, perhaps they are having problems with thier site and that is why you have not gotten an email?

Jen - I can't stand the calls. We have caller ID and they still annoy me.

I used the site when I got to work, but I put in my home e-mail address, so I'm not sure if I got anything back yet, but the site was working. Since it was all over the news this am, maybe just too many trying?
