National Security: Panic and Chaos!

National Security: Panic and Chaos!

Stray Plane in DC

This is an excerpt of that article:
'Run, run, run!' security officials shouted to staff at the White House, which was raised to the 'red alert' at 12:03 p.m. when the plane was just three miles out. Eight minutes later - at 12:11 p.m. - the alert status was reduced to 'yellow' after the plane was diverted west, and three minutes later, the Secret Service gave the all-clear.

So, pretty much, Homeland Security's game plane ranges from Pandemonium to Aw, Just Kidding!

I feel safe.

ETA: A byline to this article is 'Air Scare' which is almost as tasteless as CNNs headline when Pope John Paul was on his deathbed... 'NO NOPE FOR THE POPE'.
Really, is a crisis the time to think of clever rhymes?

And this happens a week before DH starts a job two blocks from the White House. Hmmm why did we want to move there again?

The worst part was the aircraft was a Cessna 152 (which is about as big as a station wagon and not very menacing compared to an F-16) and it's passengers were a student pilot and flight instructor. I'm hoping the student fired that flight instructor on the spot! (that is, after he brushed the cement skid off his face and was released from the handcuffs).
