Ok i had this idea of incorprating a bit of Boston into our wedding, well alot of the planning has come from East Coast wedding ideas but...
I wanted to do something more... I was thinking...
Since my placecards HAVE to be at the tables because I am doing a sit down dinner... the RH told me to do a poster thing of the tables with everyones name on it so they could find their seats...I don't want to do this plus i looked online about ordering one and I can afford it it is $400 plus and that is deffinitely NOT in my budget anymore...
To bring a little more Boston or rather MA (FH was born & raised there and I love it there) what if I did like Lobster shapped lollipops or some cranberry flavored candy with tags on them with everyones name and table number...
Wedding colors are Black & White with touches of Purple (Plum) & Silver.
Personaly i don't see why i can't set up the cards on a table and them take the cards and go to the appropriate table.... but RH says NO!
Any ideas much appreciated!!!
TIA

Oh, I don't have it online, and I don't rembeer which magazine I saw it in...
But you can pin the place cards to picture frame and have it on a easel?
I think I'm going to do this.. not sure...

I am just going crazy with this... I thought just set up a table put them in alphabetical order let them pick up their placecards and go to the tables... easy right? RH says no they already want the placecards on the tables... I have already figured out how to coordinate them for dinner... whoever is getting beef gets a purple rhinstone whoever gets chicken gets a clear rhinstone.. but how to get the guests to the right tables is beyond me and/or my budget

so, you want to have a table for placecards (in the form of lollipops) and placecards at the tables? Will your RH let you do that to begin with?
Instead of printing out a large poster with table assigments, could you print it in a much smaller form as a booklet? Maybe include it at the end of your ceremony program if you're doing that?
