Natural Family Planning Class

Anyone have to go to one? What's it like and are there other couples with you?

it was a section of our pre-cana......this is the section FH & I couldn't stop laughing! The couple teaching ours were sooooooooooo into it!

Please don't tell me they get graphic. I think ours is taught to us by a deacon.

o they do....well mine did. here is how the convo went:

woman: so girls, this is what you need to do, you need to get a calendar, and every morning write down the color of your discharge then take your temperature. when you temperature is high and you mucus changes color, you are ovulating so don't have sex.

man: now guys, you needs to be supporters and get involved, its ok to ask your wife what color her mucus is today.

fh and i kept looking at each other trying not to laugh.

they mentioned it at pre-cana but my church said it is not manditory it was an option if you wanted....they said there are other couples that you meet with its kinda like a pre cana setting...we are not doing it though.

At my Pre-cana they passed out a flier saying where to go for classes and that was it. I really don't think that just dumping all that graphic info on people is a good way to introduce it at all! It's one thing if people are coming to you for that info but when it's unsolicited it's way TMI!

On the other hand, I have heard that if you take the classes and follow it correctly, natural family planning does work. I think I'm not as easily grossed out by this as most people though because I have a medical background.
