Natural hair dye I can use? AND what about mani/pedis?

I have been dying my hair for as long as I can remember.... I had an appointment for this wednesday for cut and color - of course I'll still cut my hair, but what can I use for natural dye?

Does cactus salon have any?

Or, if I do it myself, which I have a lot of experience doing, what kind of dye can I use that will be ok for the baby?

also - what about mani/pedis? Is that not ok now???

Right now I'm in shock - and since I feel nothing different except for exhaustion and for the nagging fear that too many people know so early on, I am just thinking how inconvenient it is with my hair, nails, and upcoming HM!

sorry I dont know anything about hair dye. but i guess you finally found a prego test that wasnt faulty. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

hey i am not saying CONGRATS yet bc i can tell you are wierded out about everyone knowin!

but just in case

if you dye your hair it isnt dangerous but since the hormones in your body are different the dye won't take the way it should. . . it could not take at all OR you could have an odd color - breathing it in isnt good but if you are in a well ventilated area it shouldnt be bad

manis and pedis are fine

i have lots of nieces and nephews ! thats why i am an expert. . . and thats how me sister figured it out - we dyed her hair and it came out orange!!! LOL then she went to the doc and found out!

i am a hairstylist and i also do color.
when in doubt ask your doc.

but i have NEVER had anyone who was preggo have probs with dye in the sense of hurting the baby.

natural hair dye....eh. especially if you have gray.
if you are concerned about the dye on your scalp absorbing into your system..you can always have the stylist foil weave the color in..... like a highlight..but with your color .... so it wont touch your skin.

Natural Instincts is the most gentle color, it lasts about a month. Good luck!

About Mani/pedi's
Just make sure you know the place is VERY clean. A Very good friend of mine has heart issues and the Dr told her your blood lines from your hand go right to your heart. She actually brings her own tools.
A lot of my friends who were pregnant used to bring their own tools.

im a manicurist and the only thing with pedis is the massage part and i think it is nly towards the end. It is not supposed to be too rough. pregnant women come in up til their due dates all the time though

I AM A STYLIST FOR 14 YEARS AND I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM EITHER WITH COLORING ANYONES HAIR. I DO TELL THE LADIES TO ASK THERE DR BECAUSE EVERY DR IS DIFFRENT. MOST SAY AFTER YOUR FIRST 3 MONTHS YOUR OK. LIKE IT WAS POSTED ABOVE YOU CAN ALWAYS FOIL OR CAP SOME HIGHLITES IN YOUR HAIR THAT DOESN'T TOUCH THE SCALP. BUT ALL THE LADIES I WORK ALL HAVE KIDS BUT ME ANDS THEY WORK RIGHT UP UNTIL THERE DUE DATES TOUCHING AND SMELLING THE COLOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED TO THEM. ITS ALL A MATTER OF PREFERENCE. TO ME IF THE NATURAL COLOR LIGHTENS YOUR HAIR OR MAKES IT A DIFFRENT COLOR BESIDES DARKER THEN THERES SOMETHING IN IT TO MAKE IT LIFT TO BREAK THE HAIR CUTICLE DOWN TO LET THE COLORR IN AND THEN IT HAS TO BOND THE CUTICLE CLOSE TOO SO THERE HAS TO BE SOME KIND OF SOMETHING TO DO THAT.
