I am going 'natural'.

I cannot wear long nails for my school. So I am not investing in nails for 2 weeks.

I only use my natural nails. To keep them in good condition and hard I made sure I took my vitamins everyday. It worked!
Since the wedding I haven't taken them everyday and they're not as strong or healthy looking at all.

I recommend getting weekly manicures, it helps. I had acrylic nails for years and when I had them taken off I started getting weekly manicures it strengthens them but you have to stay consistent, every week.
Good luck!!

I have... or should I say HAD... the same problem. This is my solution:

1. HAIR AND NAIL VITAMINS (I'm currently using Nioxin). They're a pill I've taken every morning for about 3 weeks... and WOW. MY nails are long, strong, NOT peeling like they usually do at this point and NOT breaking (knock on wood). LOVE these vitamins! (I also hear Nature's Bounty makes these for cheaper, so I'm trying those when these run out). Nioxin is 17.50 for 30 at Ulta.

2. I put Orly 'Nail Defense' on my nails a couple of times a week to keep SOMETHING on them. (also Ulta).

3. I use those cheesy, yellow rubber gloves when I do the dishes.

The combo of these is doing WONDERS for my nails. At this point, I don't want to spend the $$ on going for weekly manicures, but I will once I get closer to the Big Day. HTH!

Get a gel manicure. There are no fake tips but an extra coat of protection...my nails break easily so this is what I get.

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - good stuff.
Keeps them strong and they seem to grow quicker too...

Thanks ladies

If I use rubber gloves while I do the dishes I am sure to break a few

I take mutivitamins everyday...

When ever I get a manicure my nails break

I think I will take a trip to Ulta next week

Re: natural nails

I used my natural nails. I liked them better & in the picture you can't even tell. I got a manicure everyweek and someone told me about this stuff I believe it is from south america that she got at a nail place in teh city. I have no idea where she got it because she picked it up for me & it keeps them strong & growing. I have never had long nails. It is pretty simialr to nailtechques so I would use that & everytime you get a manicure make sure they put it on. Good dluck.

I used to use Sally Hansen Maximum Growth. At least I think that is what it's called. It is clear but has a pink tint to it so it looks really nice.

Re: natural nails

The BEST STUFF to get for your nails is either

(1) OPI (the one in the green and white box)

OR

(2) Nail Tek

This is the best stuff on earth!!!

OPI is recommended and get weekly manicure. If you get weekly manicures have the nail tech. use the OPI as a base and top coat!!
