navy blue in the fall (repost from 08)

has anyone done navy blue or dark blue dresses for BM's in the fall? If so, what colors did you use for flowers? My friend may do this and I was thinking yellow and maybe orange. If you have pics- please post!!

there was an add in one of my bridal magazines that shows these bridesmaids holding the bright pink bouqet seen on the bride. this might be a brighter blue than you were thinking of though...

I really wanted to do navy blue.....but then found out when mil got married she did that color.....so I changed it.

Thanks!! She is thinking of doing jcrew dresses in navy. I think they may be darker than this- im not too sure.

i'm in a wedding in a few weeks and we're wearing navy jcrew dresses. i'll post pics of the flowers after.

I think either different shades of pink would work or yellows like you said...not sure how the oranges would blend...

not sure how oranges would look, but I think yellows would work fine.

i have indigo blue dresses for my BM. i am using yellows, oranges, reds and i think some blue thrown in. all the fall colors. i think it will look beautiful! at least, I'm imagining that it will.

i'm going for my sample centerpieces this weekend, which will be the same colors as the bo-k's. so i will post pictures next to the dresses if i can!

I am getting married next month and my girls are in navy. Infact, the colors of my wedding are navy and white. For flowers we are doing rich creams and whites with accents of green. I LOVE the navy...classic and elegant.

I am thinking of using navy for BM dresses as well and then either a bright pink or yellow as the accent and tied in with the flowers.

i found this doing a search.

says the burgundy and yellow combinations compliment navy blue bridesmaids dresses.

Other fall flowers to consider are Chrysanthemums, Sunflowers, hydrangea and calla lilies to name a few.
