Hi, Our main color for our wedding is navy blue, but we can't come up with a complimentary color. We just started looking at florists and they usually push for yellow flowers, but I'm not completely sold on that look. I believe at our venue we might do navy table cloths with white flowers, but is that too boring?? I need suggestions/ideas. Please post pics if possible!

Check out the review section, I have seen a few weddings with Navy. I think they used either pink or purple flowers.
we are using light pinks, ivory's and some light blues as our complimentary colors.

We have navy blue in our wedding too .. we are using Cornflower as our main color ... but the flowers in the BM bouquets will have white, blue and eggplant. My bouquet is bursting with color!
We are keeping the ivory linens that the RH is providing, I think it will do just fine

I'm doing Navy BM dresses and I don't have any other color. At the florist I went with a mix of pastel colored flowers (pale yellows, pale pink, lavender, and creamy white).

I did Navy blue and I complimented it with Lavender and Light green colors!
here's a pic of the BM's with their flowers in those colors...
ETA - for the linens...we just stayed with classic white. I didn't wanna get too much into a theme or colors...just so everything wouldn't be too matchy matchy.

My BM dresses are navy also. But we are sticking with either white or cream lines. My rh has dark carpets so we wanted to keep the room pretty light. The flowers we are using will be a mix is hot pink, green and white. The greens are my fave which are lime colored cybidium orchids.

my BM dresses are navy and i'm having them carry blush pink roses. my flowers will be all white, as are all the centerpieces. more like ivory. A LOT of colors go with navy, you definitely don't have to do yellow. pinks, lavendars, reds all work.

I don't think white is boring at all- I think it's crisp and clean and beautiful.
But if you wanted to jazz it up, you could still do the white and add in pops of lighter blue, orange, yellow, bright pink, green or red. I always love those combinations.

I'm doing navy as well. At first we were gonna do navy and orange but then switched to Navy with white and pale green flowers. My accent colors for everything else are brown, sand and beige. A just a tip...there aren't many blue flowers out there and the ones that are blue are closer to purple.
Very natural feel to the whole thing.

Heyy! I'm doing navy blue also, and felt that I should pick a complimenting color, especially for the guys' tuxedos, since a navy vest won't look right with black pants and jacket...so i decided to do almost like a sage green. not as dull as sage, but not super bright either.
I was with you on not loving the blue and yellow, since it's been done so many times before. I wanted something sort of different. try out a shade of green and see how you like it

We are doing Navy also.
The BM's flowers are bronze mini calla lillys. Our whole color scheme for the wedding is generally Chocolate Brown with different blues.

I am doing Navy as well. all the BM are in Navy and all of my flowers are white. in the ceremony and reception. very clean was the look i was going for.
