Navy dresses + black tuxes + ??? color vests and ties?

Navy dresses + black tuxes + ??? color vests and ties?

Does anyone have pictures or recommendations for tie and vest colors for black tuxes with navy dresses (and fuchsia flowers)? I've seen black vests with blue ties, gray vests with gray ties, gray vests with pink ties, and everything in between. Any help is appreciated- thanks ladies!

These are my colors too and there's a bride from 09 who also had similar colors so I notebook-ed her review!

I would say a silver or gray would be best.

that was my sisters colors... she had pink ties and vest

That's perfect. I was planning to do pink (got the girls pink bo-ks) and am glad to see how nice it looks!

Aww yay!!

I will def say deciding on the vest and tie colors was one of the hardest parts. If I had gotten my way, I really wanted the guys to wear navy suits and navy and pink striped ties, like in this pic (but not khakis):



But DH didn’t like that AT ALL. And now I’m kind of happy I didn’t, because trying to match the navy colors could have been hard. (I still love it though.)

Here’s another pic I loved:


I was going crazy bc I was afraid the fuchsia wouldn’t match either (the ties, the flowers and the sashes on the dresses) but we lucked out!

Chicky thanks so much for posting all of your pictures! This is so, so helpful. It looks like you did your shoes dyed to match also, correct? I was thinking of doing dyed shoes or telling them to get gold shoes but I really like how uniform all navy shoes look...

There will be a little bit of black detail in my girls dresses, so I want them to wear black shoes.
MY shoes are navy and black!

I actually was planning on getting them dyed but I knew that could be a little expensive for the girls. I went to DSW one day and saw shoes that I thought were a perfect match, so I ended up buying like 8 pairs of them bc I didn’t know anyone’s sizes! And they were only like $40!

Those are also my colors and since the girls are wearing silver shoes, I was going to have silver vests.

my girls are wearing navy blue and we picked out black tuxes with black vests and black and blue striped ties. the tuxes look really nice, i just hope that they look as nice in the pics with the BM dresses
