For the brides who had navy for their BM's dresses, what did your GM's wear? Do black tuxes look weird with the navy dresses, or is it fine?

Someone else asked this recently, and there were a bunch of posted photos of guys in black tuxes looking great next to BMs in navy. Mine are wearing navy, but the guys are wearing suits. I'm not sure if they're planning on navy or black, actually. We don't want anyone to have to buy a suit other than the groom, who wants a really nice new suit anyway.

My girls are wearing navy and the guys are getting a black tux with silver vests.
I am usually very strict about having things match and would never dream of wearing black and navy together, but I look at it this way...the navy is on one person and black is on another so it is OK in my book! I just made sure the guys had a silver vest rather than navy.
Since the black tux is so classic, it seems perfectly OK to have the guys wear it.

ok well lets go back about 6 years, my prom dress was navy and fh wore a black tux with a navy tie and vest. hth!

I would just have the guys wear black vests and ties. I think it would look good. HTH

My BP wore navy. The GMs all wore black. They looked fine. Pewter may be an option as well. I am just not a fan of matching things - just a preference.
