Need a doc

Need a doc

Well, the wedding is coming up fast and we plan on trying to conceive ASAP after the wedding. I would like to find a ob/gyn that I LOVE. I don't hate my current doc, but.. not sure I would want him to deliver my child.

So, I am looking for recommendations for a new doc. Prefereably female, but male is ok if he is really good.

I hope to find someone in the stonybrook-rockypoint area. I live in sound beach, so the closer the better.

I really want someone that can get to know me and really will care about the things I ask, not blow them off like its no big deal (if its a big deal to me, it should be a big deal to them, IMO)

thanks!

My Dr is right across the street from the Watermill. His name is Dr. Richard Halpert. He has 2 partners, Dr. Keith Sommers and i don't know the other name. I really like him.

I go to Dr.Ninia in Port Jeff-he has a private practice with 2 nurse practitioners who are so nice. I switched to him going to Suffolk Ob-Gyn because I thought the group was too big and I wouldn't know exactly who would be delivering my baby. Now I know that although I see the nurse practitioner on some of my prenatal visits, only Dr.Ninia will be delivering my baby.

Re: Need a doc

I go to Dr. Arato, he is located in Stony Brook and Wading River. My friend told me to go to him once (5 years ago) and I think he is GREAT!!! I just think he has the BEST bedside manners, when I had my MC last month he was just so sympathic about everything. Even my DH had made a comment what a good man he was, he even called me at home the 1st few days to see how I was doing. The thing I like about him also is that he does high risk pregnacies, god forbid their will be any problems next time, I dont have to worry about changing Dr's. Good Luck
