need a fun restaurant...

in manhattan to go to w/my family (which includes 3 kids under the age of 7) for my birthday!! nothing too expensive, any neighborhood, but midtown is the most convenient. thanks for any recommendations.....

I second MARS 2112, that is a GREATTTTTTTT restaurant

eta - ESPECIALLY for kids, the space ship ride to get to mars is cute.

That's my pick for you too! The food is very good there and I think the kids will totally get a kick out of it since it's so different and it's got a really cool atmosphere.

The last 2 times I went to Mars2112 the food was TERRIBLE, but they might have improved since then... but that is my second pick... another really great place for the kids where they have aliens roaming around.. and the ride is fun too, but a little dated.
