Need a hug

A lot of people ask for prays on this board, so I thought it would be ok for me to ask for a hug...

FH and I closed on our house last Friday. I called LIPA to switch the electric over and they said I had to turn off the power on 1/3. I said fine, believing the power company.

Well, I went over to the house today to drop off paint and supplies and I was welcomed by a collapsed in ceiling and water all over the floor of our living room. Apparently on 1/3 (Thursday, one of the coldest days so far this year) the pipes froze while the power was off and two of them burst.

So our brand new house has water damage all across the main ceilings. I freaked out because I felt like such an idiot. I should have never listened to stupid LIPA.

So, if there are any extra hugs around, I could sure use one. This is just one more thing to add on to my already stressful self.

I know what you are saying. We both have homes already and although we are fortunate, in paying for this wedding, there are always house mishaps that interrupt the budget, or just my mindset. Girl you are blessed. You have the house before the wedding. I promise that it will be OK. Just set aside other funds because things (with houses) happen when least expected. Your so blessed-sit back and say I'M GETTING MARRIED AND I HAVE A HOUSE-2 major dreams come true
