Is it Demitrios? If so check on their website for another authorized dealer. Call the dealer and tell them you are interested in this specific dress. They might be able to get a sample for you to try on.

They may not have a sample of the dress but any of those places should be able to order it for you.

I've heard bad things about them. Been told to get alterations done elsewhere at any cost!! by more than 3 people.

I wish you luck. I am also searching high and low for a Demetrios gown. I did go to Macy's, but they didn't have a sample of the style # I want. For some reason Demetrios gowns are extremely hard to locate. Yes, the stores are able to order any dress for you, but you want to try the dress on before you commit to buying it.
BTW - My experience with Macy's Bridal, in Smithaven Mall, was great except for the fact that they didn't have the dress that I wanted.

Even if you order through another store that doesn't have it as a sample, you can at least go to Macys to try it on and see if you like it...
I'd call Lillette's. I think they carry some Demetrios, and I'm sure they can order that one for you.
