Need a location in Queens/Nassau…

Hi all. FH and I want to have a small civil ceremony, followed by a small dinner with family and friends. We are not doing limos, flowers, photographers/videographers etc. However, looking for a pretty hall or restaurant that can hold 100 people, and have room for a DJ. Most important, we need to keep our budget as small as possible.

Any location suggestions? Thanks!

I had my shower at Verdis in westbury, the hall was nice and the food and service was great...not to mention very reasonable.

will definitely look into all of these, please keep them coming! As I have been inquiring around, I have been stating it’s for a birthday party rather than a wedding dinner, because then they automatically give you these big packages. I don’t need/want a big package. Don’t care for a cocktail hour, and it doesn’t even have to be a sit down menu. Buffet would be fine. As long as I can have a DJ, I will be happy.

Yes! Roma View has great food! We did a birthday party there and everyone loved it!

Villa Umberto's Elmont

Umberto's (theyhave a room upstairs) New Hyde Park.

What about a Knights of Columbus? We looked at the one in Seaford and its really nice and affordable.

Or Antun's in Hicksville.

Giardinos which has very good food and owned by Russos on the Bay (which is somewhat famous, lol, in Howard Beach) Their service is impeccable too! Here is their site with a link to their party room.

Verdis of Westbury (which someone said and I agree with, concerning quality of food, very nice place, etc)

There is Marbella which is a nice restaurant inside a hotel and has a very large room for weddings, parties, etc. It has been around forever.

Reception House in Flushing which I was there many years ago so cant give an honest opinion but vaguely remember the size of the room which was nice, could probally hold up to 125 and definately room for a dj (its a rh).
