I would ideally like photo alubum, 2 parent albums and three dvds. anyone getting a deal like that???

I have to be honest, I doubt you will find photo AND video for $1500. I think you could get a photo package for $1500 with no albums, but that's even pushing it. Maybe try craigslist, sometimes there are up and coming photographers on there who won't charge much bc they need to build their portfolio. Or try contacting local colleges and talk to students who need to build their portfolios as well.

I've been looking for a year and have found nothing less then $3,500.00 for both. I am paying $1,000.00 for 2 photographers from start to finish a proof album with CD. I am making my own albums on Snapfish.

It is doable - sort of. You can definitely do both fro $2k with a lot of different options. In order to do it for $1500 you may not be able to get prints.
Check out James Media. They offer really good prices. However, I don´t know anyone who has used them yet. there are other options but I don´t have that info on me right now. If you want the info FM me and I´ll send it tonight.
You can also post on the Vendors page here. Weddingwire.com also has a great option where you can put in your request for exactly what you want and how much you want to pay and it matches you with different vendors.

I agree that I don't think you can get BOTH for that price, especially not with albums/DVDs. Maybe you could get photography with no albums for that price.

That's going to be hard. I don't think you will be able to get a photog with albums for $1,500 and that's not including a videographer. Good luck in your search. Let us know how it turns out.

I've been looking at photographers for about a month and I couldn't find even just photography for that price.
You might be able to get just photo coverage with no albums for around that price.

These places all have some sort of package that would add up to around $1500 some even less. Most places prob won´t give you albums. It was suggested to just do them yourself on snapfish or something like that. and the video is prob unedited in some cases.
sorry i dont´have more specific info. since im in ecuador and not going to NY till en of oct for now I´m just collecting quotes and setting up appointments once my trip gets closer.

Id check out one of those all inclusive packages especially if you also need other vendors. The wedding center in commack offers a lot of packages. We have an inexpensive video person 800 full day, 4 dvds, lots of editing. FM me if you want the info
