Anyone know of a good place to have an Engagement party. The thing is- it has to be kosher, and so far we haven't found one that we like. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. We are looking at about 100-120 guests. Anywhere on Long Island or Queens is ok.

Definitely check out the Inn at New Hyde Park. I had my eparty there in January and it was awesome!! Check out my album for pics, we had about 70 people at mine! The room we had ours in holds a lot more than that!

Wish I knew specific places that had that to offer. Have you looked into any caterers that serve kosher food?? Then you could always rent out a hall and have them cater it.

What about the Sands .... they have 2, one in Atlantic Beach and one in Lido

We have looked at places, but either they are too big and not in our budget, or too small and the place and food isnt all that great
According to that, for 100 guests, 1 event at a time, and a Kosher menu, these are the results:

I don't know if any of them are Glatt Kosher, but its a good list to start calling from

I know the Metropolitan (and their smaller venue the Metropolitan Club) do some Bar Mitzvahs -- However, I'm not sure that necessarily means they are kosher. (Is that silly to think???)
They are one event at a time -- Try there!

No, not silly at all alot of people have bar/bat mitzvhas but dont require it being Kosher.
