This doubles as a menu holder as well. I thought it was kinda cute.

Re: Need A Placecard Idea?
i saw this on a website too. it is great. with this idea, you have to have each persons actual seat planned out, not just the table, right? since the menu will be set up already on the plate? am i thinking of this wrong? that is why i decided not to use it.

Re: Need A Placecard Idea?
I like it, but would you leave the menus in the place cards on the place card table? I think that would look a little too cluttered. I really like the idea, but I think it's more for smaller weddings were you would assign each person a specific seat, and have a chart saying 'so and so table 9', they go to the table to find their seat, with that placecard already there on their plate. Also, I think that would be A LOT of work, I'd probably have a million and one papercuts after all that.

LOL!
Yeah....I actually never thought of that. Both of you raise good points.
I'm Martha's Stewart's long lost stepchild....but this is something I DEFINATELY wouldn't attempt to tackle.
Like you both have said, maybe a good idea for smaller weddings!

Re: Need A Placecard Idea?
i may use this for the table names (i'm doing cities instead of #s) with an explanation of the city.
also using it for menus- but not one per person. i won't be writing their name on the bottom like it is shown.

Do you have a theme? Someone glued silk leaves to their placecards, and it looked really pretty. Maybe you could do the same with small silk flowers? A small bow?
