Re: Need a price ladies.....
There are all different price ranges, as with everything. Most of the ones we saw were around $150-$200 for 100 invites, some were cheaper, some where a lot more expensive.

Re: Need a price ladies.....
The reason I am asking these questions is because I have seen some of the things that some girls have done on here and I mentioned it to the FIL's and they were horrified. They came right out and told us that they think it is cheap looking. I couldn't hold my tongue. I said have you even seen one? They stopped in their tracks and said well just get prices on `professional' ones and show us a sample of ones you would make.

don't get prices just on invites...remember there's response cards, reception cards, lined envelopes, return addresses, etc.
my invites cost less than $200 for 150 but when you add everything else in (and bows and seals) they're almost $500! and that's with a discount!

Re: Need a price ladies.....
Whos paying for them? you, him, your family or his? Because guess what, who pays, has say! I printed my own E-cards! EVERYONE loved them. I'm sorry I don't have any left. But I printed our picture on the high top and had very nice typing. To be honest I've seen some lovely ones that you would NEVER tell that they were made at home. I've seen the ones at staples that have the see though paper over the invite with the bow and everything. To be honest girls, please don't get mad, I really don't see why people focus so much on invites. Yeah their nice, but to be honest I don't see why people stress or make so much fuss about them. Thats JMHO. Get what you want. Forget what they say. There is no reason to go nuts over them if you dont want too.
wow....thanks so much for all the info!!!! And hearing $800 for a bunch of cards is like AGGGG!!!!!! To me, these are something people are going to read, mark their calendar and throw out. I will have a picture of mine in my album.... but guess what.... you aren't going to see raised lettering!!!!! Anyway.... thanks for my small vent and getting me this info!!!!

I have received inexpensive invites and very expensive letterpress invites. 99% of them are in the trash. I only saved the ones from close friends/family.

Re: Need a price ladies.....
Invites add up really fast. I have had friends that bought invites and ones that have made their own. Unless you are very good at graphic design or have a very nice printer, you can really tell who made their own. I have received ones that were smudged, faded, crooked etc.
I also received one that was fantastic. It looked great. The Bride and Groom said they'd never do it again because of all the stress it caused them. I thought they were lovely though.

Re: Need a price ladies.....
I ordered mine from Invitations and Beyond in Oceanside (a new LIW vendor) and they have been fantastic so far. I am paying 350 for 100 invites, response cards, pre printed return address and response cards, lined envelopes, etc. They give a 20 or 25% discount on most things (at least on mine) and had TONS of books and a helpful staff.

yeah, i went into the invitation hunting with just invites in mind and completely forgot about all of the other 'necessities'. everything combined for me totals to about $600. i found great invites at www.myjeanm.com. it's an awesome website b/c you can play with the invites to see what your sample would look like. i already ordered the color sample kit and the paper quality is awesome! check it out if you have free time.
