So we HAVE a Rabbi.. who we thought was amazing the 1st time we met with him. We booked him on the spot because he agreed with everything we said and said he would perform a PERSONAL ceremony and would meet with us a few times prior to the wedding to go over it. We haven't heard from him since (this was back in May or maybe even April). FH called him yesterday to ask him when we should meet since the wedding is about 6 weeks ago ( ) and he kind of gave FH attitude because he didn't understand WHY we wanted to meet. Then when FH asked the rabbi about the personal ceremony, the rabbi told him 'Write what you want me to say and I will say it'.. Unacceptable!!! So now we're looking for someone new. I want a touching ceremony, which will be memorable and I want the rabbi to maybe even continue being our rabbi for our kids bris', bar/bat mitzvahs, etc.
HELP!!!

OMG that's terrible, since I am having an interfaith wedding we are having a Cantor (who was recommended to us) but he clearly isn't a Rabbi, but if you want his info I would be happy to give it to you, he was fabulous when we met with him.

Thank you but yes, we do want a rabbi. Although it seems like most people use cantors these days because they're a lot nicer.

This rabbi married my friend and her husband (who isn't Jewish).. but I don't even want to recommend him to you..

haha no worries FH is fine with having a Cantor rather than a Rabbi he isn't picky

I loved my rabbi and he did a wonderful ceremony (we got a lot of compliments during CH), he is conservative, but both DH and I were raised reformed and he was perfect for us. FM me if you want info.
