her office only takes limited insurance plans - but I found that mine reimburses me 80% even though she is out of network. She is WONDERFUL!

Just in case you haven't found one that takes insurance....All of the doctors at Downtown Women Associates in Soho (Broadway near prince) are great. It's a great place as a whole. Good luck!

Hey Sassy I also go to Murray Hill, but a different doctor. Imay change though once I move, need to find a gyno in Jersey. Though it may be good to keep my doctors in the city so I can go at lunchtime/after work, not sure yet.

Jess - that's the whole reason I am changing....My doc. is in NJ and I had to cancel an appt. for today and I called 4 hours before the appointment and they YELLED at me.
They told me that their new policy is if you cancel short notice more than 2 times, they will refuse to see you anymore....

I was like 'okay, bye bye!'

Don't need that....

It's easier to go on lunch or take a couple hours than to have to take a half day to go to my guy in Jersey!

Oh well!

Jessica, that's crazy! Mine has a policy that they will charge you $100 if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment so I guess that's not much better either.

I go to Downtown Women's OB/GYN in SoHo too! I highly recommend it , and they DO take Oxford (my insurance too).

I've seen both Dr. Leslie Gruss and Dr. Audrey Buxbaum, and also a nurse practioner. They are all fantastic!
