Need a stylis but not for wedding

I am on the hunt for someone to cut my hair. I've only had my hair cut once in the past ten years. I'm always afaid someone is gonna ruin my hair. I don't know what it is but I am more scared to cut my hair than to go to the dentist.

Does anyone know of any really good stylists in Brooklyn. It's time I take my 10 year pony tale down.
