Need a Vet in Huntington Area ..

After we move and settle in, we're bringing buddy (cat) to live with us.

He's due for his shots. Our old vet used to be literally across the street from where we lived. They closed. Since then, we've been taking him to PetsMart for shots, but I really want him seen by a vet. He hasn't had a check up in YEARS!

Any suggestions would be GREAT!

Keep in mind, however, both Jim and I work late and we'd love a vet who was available late hours or weekends. Not extra late hours, we're willing to come home on time for the cat!

Oh, and we were hoping in the area cause Buddy HATES to travel. That and this fat boy is heavy to drag around!

I take fred to west hills in commack right but the bonwit, and i think they have a second office in huntington

I take Cosmo to the Commack Animal Hospital on Jericho Turnpike - its about a 15 minute ride from Huntington and they are open nights and weekends. We've been very happy with them.

I take Titan to Fort Hill in Huntington, He loves it so much he jumps up on the table when he gets there, (they say its he's the only dog hey have seen do that)

We take our lovebird to West Hills in Huntington and they really are great. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have been so great since our lovebird has been so sick lately.

there is dr. fredericks old place on 25A in northport (across from mcdonalds) and then in the iga shopping center is a vet whose name i totally forgot. not huntington, but close.

We take our dogs to huntington animal hospital on 110 across from the mall/fridays. We have been going there for years and they have weekend hrs.

Gotta get the cat IN the house first.

Still haven't set up my computer yet. So I can't see my budget. Gotta fit Buddy's vet visit in.

May I remind you he 'tolerates' me and loves Jim. *sigh* I'm so unappreciated.

Then again, it could do with me taking him to get stuck with needles and be man handled by strangers, while Jim feeds him and has more quality time as I work and go to school *Shrug*

When we lived in Huntington, we took all our animals to the Southdown Animal Clinic. It's on Wall Street in the Southdown Shopping Center, just before Wall St. turns into West Shore Road. The vet is really good--he's even developed his own line of pet food.

Ok so far in our little trips out and about we’ve seen West Hills, My Pet’s Vet and some other place I can not recall right now.

Still need to get a few things set up before Buddy comes to stay and we just found his vaccine papers. He’s due for shots again. Jim wants the house to be all set up before he gets in. Eating area, play area, etc. This weekend, though, we REALLY missed him. His little tags he wears jingle when he moves and it was so quiet without him. I had no one to play with and keep me company while Jim slept all afternoon.

I need my Buddy.

So, the week project (week long since we’re so busy) “Project Buddy”.

Even though I do have a major exam in Stats on Thursday, we both are determined to get Buddy in by next weekend. Gotta wait for our March 15th paycheck before I can get him to the vet.
