There is a vendor that FH and I absolutely love..We know a few people who have used them and other people that will be using them...We know that they threw in extras for these other people but when we asked, they put a price tag on everything that we wanted...Do we book them knowing that they were accomodating to our friends needs but not to ours?? It just doesn't seem like they want our business.

Honestly, all businesses want business - otherwise, they'd go under.
I would suggest telling them the truth and saying 'Listen, we came to you after hearing fantastic raves of your work, and most especially the special bonuses you provided for $xxx. We're on a tight budget, we love your service, and are highly anticipating being a life-long customer and referring you. Is there anyway that you can beat or match $xxx.'
It has worked EVERY single time for me!

Yes, I was say, 'I began looking into your company based on several recommendations, but those people particulary mentioned that you did X,Y,Z at no charge'
Do NOT mention WHO told you, just mention that you know about the discounting situation.

If you knew people who booked them recently and got extras then they should be willing to honor it for you as well, if it means getting your business. I would definately push for it too!
