Need advice???

Girls, I need your advice... I'm the MOH in my friend's wedding next week.. I live in queens and she's from Jersey.. There's 6 bm's, Bride, flower girl and Mother of the bride getting there hair down by one lady. (this is how the bride wants it) I don't see how this is possible when we have to be ready by 1pm, since the ceremony is in Astoria.
She stated she wanted me to sleep over the night before, that way i won't run into traffic, now she's telling to get my hair done where ever I get my hair done. It's totally up to me...
But I do have to make it to Jersey in time for pictures...

What would you girls do??? Sleep over or get your hair down where you normally get it done..

I guess it's up to you-irritating either way. but if you sleep home, have your hair done by your hair dresser, the only stress you will really have is the stress of driving- you get to avoid all of the wedding day stress at the brides house.

I would sleep over. Spare yourself the hassle of driving in the morning AFTER getting your hair done.
I'd rather feel rushed with all the other girls rather than feeling rushed by myself stuck in traffic looking at the clock every second. If you're with the bride, you know you won't be late for anything.

I know what you mean... We've had practice for the past two weeks for this wedding and i'm always sitting in traffic looking at the clock and I'm always late... I'm just going to sleep over.

I would sleep over...For a couple of reasons...

That would be a lot of driving to do in one day. And you may hit some unexpected traffic. You don't want to be late.

And... I know you don't want to deal with the stress but you are the MOH and maybe you can offer some comfort and relief to the bride who will definetely be stressing too. And I think if you are not there, it will just add to the bride's stress.

I would sleep over...JMO

Sleep over....and find out a place over there that does good hair.....

I wouldnt take the chance of traveling!

I agree

I think either way it's a hassel. The lesser of the two evils, I think, is to sleep over. You're going to have to be up early anyway so you may as well avoid the headache of trying to get to her house on time after you get your hair done in NY.

I hope this doesnt sound as bad as it may come out, but this is what ***** about writing and not talking...

It's not your wedding so your hair doesn't have to be perfect and there is no reason for you to have the added stress of rushing around to get to Jersey just to have your hair done somewhere you are familiar. Just as long as no cutting takes place anywhere can do an updo. (do you know what I mean?). To get to Jersey dressed and ready by 1pm anyday of the week is a hassle. I say go the day before, have a great night and roll out of bed to a hair salon recommeded by a BM who lives there.
