hey girls, im kind of freaking out a lil dont know what to do...after seeing how other girls packages are im feeling a bit let down and ripped off by my photographer/videographer...i LOVE their work and they are very nice, but i dont see why i am so much more than everyone and why others are getting things like engagement shoots and parent albums included when my package is 5000 w/o any engagement or parent albums...i understand prices go up, but i booked them in the middle of january and such different prices is kind of weird to me...my question is: how do i go about approaching them and what should i say?? TIA sooo much for any advice!

how much of a deposit did you leave??
Maybe its worth it to back out of your contract and find someone else?

i left a $700 deposit, my package was $5000 W/O tax so came out to 5400s...i have 2 photographers for 11 hours, 600 proof guarantee, videographer,11'14,2 8'10, designer coffee? table album with 60 pics...i had questioned the parent album thing and was told they are 400 each!..now i love my photographers and love their work and am happy with their quality, i just feel like im getting the short end in comparison...

I think i am going with proline I am paying 5,500 for video and photo 2 parent albums, 60 photo magazine book, 1 16x20, 2 8x10 and 5 5x7 1 photographer and assistant and engagement session.

I'm going to end up with 2 different companies for photo and video - it's gonna be around 5k for the two, but for photo I'll be getting an engagement shoot, (w/ all pics on a cd) an upgraded 50 pic album for me and FH, 2 parent albums along with the 11x14, 8x10's no minimum # of proofs, all pics on cd's one photographer w. assistant for the whole day, and probably just one video guy (w/ assistant) for the whole day. Also i'm paying cash, so i'm getting a slight discount for that... I think you're paying about average, maybe slightly more, but i also think its most important to be totally comfortable with your vendors, cause they're going to be a bit part of your day.

In the end the work is what counts best. I would talk to them ask them to ask them to work with you. Explain how you want parents albums. Maybe they would work with you. But remember if you love there work it might be worth the price difference. Good Luck!!

see i went with the work and the price. my package includes everything that we wanted and the work is outstanding. i'd talk to them if your going to spend all this money you should be getting what you want.. good luck
