Need advice

Hi girls, first time doing this, need some advice.

FH and I have visited some halls in the past 2 weeks, we are interested in next year May or June and some halls I liked, and then I get a headache one hall told me they have a date available for September 2008! Now I know it sounds crazy but my FH is really pushing for it and I keep on telling him it won’t be possible, do you guys think I can pull it of with 3 months to go? I am not a picky bride to be, I am thinking of something simple and elegant. And just to throw it out there it would end up costing us almost 1/2 compared to next year. Need advice.

thats kinda cutting it close but I guess if you feel you can pull it off and save alot of $$$ then go for it.

Personally I wouldnt do it only bc I would feel rushed to get everything done and I want to take my time and enjoy planning me wedding....but thats just me.

That’s what I am really scared about, I mean I guess I will cut my stress time in 1/3, but I don't want the finish project to come out rushed looking. I am a little skeptical about it, and I have to make a lot of calls tomorrow. We saw our photographer today and the funny thing is someone actually canceled on the same date, my FH claims it’s a sign.

If you think that you can get everything organised in 3 months then go for it! You might find it difficult to get the vendors you want at his short notice though, good luck!!

A friend of mine planned her whole wedding in 3 months and it was so beautiful, as long as you are not picky about what vendors and your dress I think you will be fine.
I would just check that a photo/video and a DJ is also available on that day before I book the hall.

a friend of mine planned a wedding in about 3 months it turned out beautifully. booking your major vendors could be hit or miss based on how close you are, but once you book them you only the have the details left. i think it's doable!

If you want to do it, it is 100% possible. My sister got engaged and married within 3 months (no she wasn't pregnant.....LOL). Her wedding was beautiful and she saved tons of money

So if you want it earlier, it's completely possible to plan a beautiful elegant wedding in that time frame. You just have to be on top of everything starting today.

If you can afford to do by then go for it. There so many vendors out there that are still available. If you feel like you are cutting it too close maybe you can ask the hall it they can extend for 2 more months.

If you think u'll be able to pull it off GO FOR IT! You may feel a little overwhelmed but i'm sure everything will turn out GREAT!

My sister did her wedding in three months, it is doable however you might have to settle for a dj or band that you wouldn't have chosen if another was available because most of the great ones are booked way in advance, but it seems like you have luck with that already being that the photographer you wanted has an opening for that day too!! so I say go for it ... September is a beautiful month to get married in !!! Good luck!!

I know someone who planned a wedding in three weeks. Crazy, yes but it can be done! If you feel you can do it, do it. If not, don't.

if you think it's doable go for it, but mind you that payments will be much closer rather than spread out so it will be financially difficult...UNLESS you have money saved up already. Its really up to you whether you think you can get it all done or not..i hope whatever you choose works well for you!

my cousin & his ex-wife planned their wedding in 4 months. it's doable just a little overwhelming.

My girlfriend got engaged in January and was married in March! They had to speed things up because they found out she was pregers!! Her wedding was BEAUTIFUL! They had pretty much everything they wanted at their wedding. The only slight compromise was the type of dress she wore, she had to pick something to hide the slight baby bump.....hehehehe. The dress was still GORGEOUS.

I think you can def. do it!! It seems like you found a hall and a photographer which were my two main things that took the most time. I say go for it if you can!! Do you have a DJ, Florist and Limos in mind? Try calling them and seeing if they are available..everything might just sort of fall into place. My only concern would be trying to get your dress and your bridesmaid dresses in on time, sometimes they day a while...Good luck!!

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the encouragements, but unfortunately we went to see our church today and they will not allow us to marry without 6 month advance, so the plans are off and I am back on the schedule with 06/09. *****, cause I was really hoping to get it off this year.
