Need advice
I need help about a ridiculous situation that i just found myself in.
FH has two friends from back in the day that he hung out with when he was single. We did not invite them to the wedding for the following reasons:
1. They do not keep in touch whatsoever.
2. They stand us up each and EVERY TIME we've invited them someplace.
3. We've seen/talked to them once in the past three or four years.
4. They always F over my fiance in one way or the other, constantly.
The last time we saw them was in January at a party. Everyone was getting along great at this party so FH was feeling nostalgic with them all together and told them they were all invited to the wedding. During that party, we invited everyone back to our apt immediately following the party to watch the world series. Everyone said they would come so we rushed to the store to buy drinks and food only to find that they NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER CALLED. As a side note, one of the friends and his girlfriend left that party and walked right by us without saying goodbye for absolutely no reason... and the other one's girlfriend apparently was talking to her friends about me 3 seconds after we met. AND on top of that, she was pissed that I didnt invite HER friends over my apt too (i have no idea who her friends even are) and threatened that she was going to bring her all of her friends over my apt anyway because i didnt invite them!?!? What planet am i on!? Needless to say, we were so hurt by them not showing up and not calling after they JUST SAID they were coming over. We were stuck with about 10 cases of beer, food, everything. At that point we had enough and we decided if they can just screw us like that (for the 900th time) that we shouldn't bother inviting them to share in our wedding. In my opinion those are just not friends.
So, last night, FH finds out thru mutual friends that these two guys realized they weren't invited after not receiving invitations and that they were really upset. Now FH feels bad and wants to invite them. He always wants to give them another chance but Im sorry, after 30 times of us trying and them screwing us over, Im done. I have had enough of watching FH get upset because his 'friends' did it again.
This to me is complete BS. These people are not friends and the last thing i need is to invite them and they dont show, and then I'll have FH upset AGAIN because they screwed us AGAIN. I swore i wouldnt let these people F us over anymore and this is the perfect opportunity to let this happen again. As a side note, the guy with the crazy girlfriend was a no-show at another friend's wedding for a complete bs reason and i can just see that happening to us and we get stuck paying for those plates.
FH also said if we decided to invite them, he would invite the friend without the psycho girlfriend but i can just imagine her thoughts when she finds out that she isnt invited. Lord knows she will show up probably with an entourage and crash my frekin wedding. OMG!!!
I want FH to be able to invite who he wants but i do not want people that arent our true friends there on the most important day of our lives. But at the end of the day, they are HIS friends, not mine. Actually, no, theyre noone's friends! Please help me with this! TIA!
