soo i am from long island and lived there all my life until i went to college four years ago upstate new york 3 hours away... i am currently there and just landed a job at a bank so that means i work weekdays.. so my dilemma is i dont know when would be good times to go and look at reception halls because i dont know if they let you look on weekends since there are weddings there most of the time... will the halls let you see them on weekends if they dont have anything booked? i just dont know what to do?!?!?

you can call ahead of time and make appointments. that way they can tell you whether or not they have a wedding on that day and are available to show you around.

i looked at halls only on the weekends because that was the only time i was free... we just called ahead and made and appointment. we even saw some that were almost ready for a wedding with the CP and lights ect all set up.

It really depends on the hall. I know lombardis doesnt do weekend appts. I dont think lands end does either. Call ahead and see when theyre available

I'm upstate too! I had no problem making weekend appointments, just explain to them that you are from out of town. Theyll schedule them around the events, so you should be fine!

u can probably go early in the day and they should be able to show you the rooms and talk packages...i did this with a couple of halls...the plus is that you can probably see the rooms set up
