My mom passed away in 2007 which makes this whole wedding thing a lot harder.
I want to use some of her jewelry as my DOJ but 99% of her stuff is Gold. I am going back and forth with the idea of having the pieces I want to use dipped as White Gold. My biggest issue is that if I do have it dipped is it still her jewelry. I know it sounds strange but I feel like it was given to her or bought by her in Gold not White Gold and if I change it then I am changing her stuff and it doesn't make it hers anymore. Some people say that no matter what, it is her jewelry if it is gold or white but I just don't know what to do.
Any advice would help.

Re: Need advice about DOJ
Sorry to hear about your mother.
I understand completely what you mean about the change. I felt the same way about a charm that was my brothers (Who passed away as well). I do not wear anything in gold as well and his charm was gold. I debated this many of times and then finally realized that no matter what, its still his piece of jewelry no matter what color it is.
Remember that its still your mothers pieces, just more fitted to you. Your mother would want you to be happy no matter what.
