I am getting married august 5th and would be leaving for my honeymoon on august 8th for a week. I am in the process of looking at different locations. I really wanted to go to Sandals in St. Lucia. However, my travel agent doesnt suggest it due to the risk of hurricanes. Ive done some research and read that sporatic thunderstorms are all they get in St. Lucia, especially towards the beginning of august. I need some advice...should i take the risk?

We went the second week in July, which after we booked, I learned that it was their rainy season. It did rain everyday while we were there but only for 5-10 minutes. That gave us time to head back to the room
If you are nervous about it, maybe consider insurance just in case???
I always travel to the islands during hurricane season and knock on wood, have not had a problem. It is a risk you would have to take.
