Need Advice abt FSIL

FSIL had 3 kids who cant sit and watch tv like normal kids.

I explained to Paul my concerns and he was offended. I dont mind kids at the church, but I have this feeling his sisters kids will be heard the entire time.

I explained to him that our church has a sound proof room for kids, he was offended.

What do I do? Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Don't just stick em in the back room to watch TV. I mean, stick em in the back room - - -but make them feel special! They won't be offended if you get some great activities for them to do.....Coloring books, arts & crafts . . .fun snacks! If your budget allows, hire someone the entertain them! Implement an offer KIDA KORNER! There are tons of stuff on the web that you can consider regarding 'things to do'!

They are not coming to recepiton just church RadioStar.

I could supply fun stuff for them while in church, but Paul doenst think htey should have to sit in soundproof room while everyone elses kids sit in main church.

I would just tell people about the sound proof room. I'm one parent who if their child acts up in church. You will see me pick him up & take him out!!! MOST parents do. (If they have any sense!)

Thanks Irish, I guess Ill tell everyone if your child acts up they have a room.

Pauls sister is one of those who gets offended. Guess Ill have to call her and explain.

You can try to do it in a way that she doesn't think it's directed at her!! Like talk about the wedding & then just tell her about this & that! Then mention the church & kind of slip it in but, try to be funny about it! I know you of all people can do that!!

I wish my hall had a (padded) room for FH's little brothers and sisters....they better be heavily medicated on my wedding day b/c I'll kill them all if they start acting like the way they do at home!

Tell them that the priest wanted you to mention it to anyone with kids as not to disrupt the ceremony.

I can see how it can be a touchy subject and you definitely don't want to offend anyone, I would probably let guests know that the church does have this room and if the kids act up they have the option of using it. Hopefully they will be courteous that if their kids are making noise they will either quiet them up or take them in the back. I hope it all works out for you
