NEED ADVICE - Flying w/a toddler?

NEED ADVICE - Flying w/a toddler?

We are in the process of planning a vacation trip for possibly this month, maybe later this winter.

Anyway, we would be using airplanes as our primary mode of transportation. The last time we flew, Paul was still in the infant carrier. Obviously, he is still too small for just a booster seat or sitting in the big airplane seat by himself, but does anyone know if you can use the toddler car seat on an airplane?

My sister uses a booster seat for my nephew who is just an=bout 2 and 1/2 years. he is more comfortable then sitting in a traditional car seat.
