Hi, Ladies! I hope all the planning is going well. I was hoping you could give me advice or recommendation on a florist (preferably someone in western Nassau/Queens). Also, what are some of the things I should make sure I ask or some of the 'hidden charges' I should ask about? Any advice you give would be really appreciated!!!!

Jay W. Becker in Floral Park -- right over the Queens/Nassau border and not too far from Flushing!! I noticed from your profile that your church is in Flushing. I'm from Astoria and the ride to Becker was very quick -- less then 1/2 hour w/o traffic!! They do an amazing job and I was very happy w/my flowers.

I am using Donald Hedgecock Florists - He is the house florist for my reception hall (Sans Souci - right down the road from the Swan Club). His shop is in Rego Park but he will meet you just about anywhere (he lives in Sea Cliff). I got an awesome deal - Under $1000 for all my flowers.

My flowers are from Flowers by Liz in Bayshore. One question I did not think to ask was about delivery. Ask what the fee will be. We didn't talk about it,and it would have been nice to know it was comming on the final contract. It's not a lot of $$, I just wasn't expecting it. Good luck!

You should check out Flowers by Brian on Jericho Turnpike, there in Nassau not far from Queens. I went for a consultation and they were really cool, I was very confused didn't know what the hell I wanted but they were patient (I was there over an hour and a half) they actually stayed open late for me and by the time I left there I felt really good and they didn't pressure me to book right then and there.
