I really want to go to Sandals in Bahamas because there is a ton of stuff to do even off the resort - like Atlantis and Gambling. My wedding is August 2 of this year - do you think I will hit a hurricane or do you think I will be ok b/c they usually come later.

I left July 30th for my honeymoon at Sandals St. Lucia and the weather was perfect! I think it's mostly luck with hurricanes, but I mostly hear about them in September.

We've been down in the Caribbean during hurricane season several times. We've been lucky so far-no storms but a couple of near misses.
Have you considered travel insurance? Some of my friends have used Travel Guard (www.travelguard.com) and have been happy with the peace of mind the insurance brought them.
