I was invited to a wedding on July 4th. There is a group of 4 of us that are friends with the bride, and on of my BM's is in the Bridal Party. She is the reason we are friends with the Bride.
Well when she got engaged in February, she told her BM, that all 3 would be invited. NOw that the invitations came out, she decided to cut one of the 4 of us. They had a stupid argument before the bride moved to Boston, we we had all hung out as a group several times since then.
So she cuts one girl, now I am a little upset about this. I don't feel comfortable going to this wedding, since the bride was so tactless.
The girl that was not invited is my best friend and MOH. She is hurt that she was omitted, since she was already told by the BM that she would be invited.
I am also annoyed that the ceremony is at 3:30 and the reception is then at 7:00. This ruins the whole holiday for me.
Also the bride will be moving to North Carolina after the wedding, so should I go???
My FH says let's not go, we have 7 weddings to go to this year, and that isn't even including our own!

If your friendship with her cannot stand independent without your un-invited friend- then do not go- I say maybe send a small gift and that is that.

To me, personally, I wouldn't go reading the way you feel, also holidays are toughies when it comes to weddings...
If it were me, I'd say no.

Re: Need Advice!! - Long!!!
I feel that I need to stand up for my uninvited firend because the BM, did not stand up for her. And I feel that an oral invitation, even thru someone else is still an invitation.
My only fear is that the BM will be upset with me, since I have no excuse that I could come up, as to why I couldn't go!

if this is going to cause tension with your MOH and you're not as close to this bride as you are with your MOH then I'd decline. The holiday is enough of an excuse. North Carolina isn't too far - if you're meant to be friends then it'll have to be long distance whether you attend her wedding or not. If you are worried that her wedding is the last chance you'll have to see her in a while why don't you take her out to lunch - have a special day with her if you are so inclined.

I guess I would probably decline then....it doesn't sound like you really WANT to go anyway and if it is going to hurt your MOH...then don't.
There is no reason your BM should be upset....your not missing HER wedding....ya know?
Good Luck

Re: Need Advice!! - Long!!!
The Bride has been home several times since being engaged, and I haven't seen her at all, so I don't feel like I am that important to her anyway, and my MOH wont be mad if I go, but I think if she would be happy if I didn't go.
