Need advice, MIL ISSUESSS!!! so sad

... married for 117 days...i absoultely love my husband to death...but my mother in law is a NIGHTMARE...If i knew what i knew now...im not sure if i would have married him, not because i dont love him, but i cant deal with all this drama....

She constantly feels like she needs to be aware of what, how, when, why ...she complains we waste money and go out to eat too much, that i should cook more often, that i dont care about her son, what kind of wife am i if i cant take care of him etc etc... and ALWAYS manages to say this..when DH is NOT around. He's never actually heard her say all this crap...Last night i cried so much...DH just gave me a hug ..and i eventually fell asleep... now DH is angry w/ his mom and giving him the cold shoulder.... [ AFTER I TOLD HIM THE **** SHE SAID TO ME ]

so now MIL feels distant from DH... and shes like 'i know these games your up to, going back and forth telling him stuff' ?????

She told me i shouldnt have kids, if i cant take are of DH, and he LIKESS to eat out, and im having a diffiult time making him eat at home... i mean but thats MYY business... and p.s- when DH was living at home he wasnt getting no GOURMET meals every night...she never cooked...

I feel so alone, and right now i really hate being marrried.... shes a DOG hounding me... i cant believe im even saying this...ive always been brought up to treat her like shes my own mother, and respect elders etc etc...but she makes me cry every night... i dont want to be blatantly be rude to her, because than she will get BIL, SIL, FIL, everyone to jump on her bandwagon...and DH is a family person...so i dont want it to be any hard feeling between him and his MOM..

as far as his relationship with his mom...hes verryy respectful, doesnt want to hurt her, shes been a cancer patient... but fine..that was 7 years ago... shes FINE NOW...but always plays the sick card... i dont know... im just so miserable

I am so sorry to hear about that. I don't know what to tell you except that you are the woman in his life now and that may be hard for her to accept. YOu have the prize and she doesn't and she is trying to make you pay for it. Nod your head and 'yes' her and like your life with your FH the way you both want to. Hope it helps.

I don't even know what to say. I would try to have less contact with her. I hope she smartens up and realizes that by pushing you away, she is pushing DH away too. Maybe she will come to her senses. Good luck with everything!

OMG. It ***** that you have to go thru this.

When she says you need to take care of my son-- Tell her: He's well taken care of, I'm sure if you ask him he will tell you he is quite happy.

When she says: You shouldn't go out to eat so much, or you should cook for him more- Tell her:
Your son ENJOYS going out to eat, infact he PREFERS it so I endulge him and we go out when he feels like it.

And when she says stuff like I know what you are up to going back to my son and telling him the stuff I said to you-- Tell her: I believe there should be no secrets in a marriage and DH and I tell each other everything. Besides, is there a reason I should be keeping these things a secret? Anything you say in front of me you can say in front of DH as well.

I feel so bad your going through this --- I think if I were you the both of you should just keep your distance and be unavailable to her and her comments and criticism. Does she live nearby and stop by unannounced? Make sure your DH is with you when you see her to avoid her comments. It sounds like he's a good guy -- let him be there to defend you and stand up to her comments. What business is it of hers anyway where and what you do?

i dont know.... shes having letting her son go syndrome...which is fine...but she meddles in everything... she thinks shes the elder of the family and everything and anything should be 'SCREENED' by her
i have my OWN life and stuff to worry about....

and yes DH is a very nice guy...i just feel bad for him sometimes...the position he is put in
