Need advice on BM Gifts

Okay so I thought I would get DOJ for my bridesmaids as part of their gift but they all don't like the same stuff and they are really difficult to shop for so I need some other alternatives to jewelry

and....has anyone ever heard of not getting bm's doj? could they just wear something that they already own?

I didn't get my BMs DOJ. I've received that when I was a BM and really it doesn't do it for me. My BMs can wear whatever jewelry they want for the wedding.

For their gifts however, I got them all necklaces from Tiffanys. I only have 3 BMs - my 2 sisters and FSIL. I picked out 3 different necklaces for them.

I got my BM brooches that I gave them at the engagement party and they can wear them the day of if they want. And I got them a compact and keychain set from ExclusivelyWeddings.com and had their names engraved on the back of the compact

I got my BM large wristlets from coach. I havent figured out what jewlery I want so I would drive myself insane trying to coordinate jewelry for 7 girls!

i was against getting them jewelry lol, but i found a very simple swarovski necklace on ebay that i thought they can def rewear

wow thanks for the input ladies! yea i would like to get them jewelry but they are all different in styles and some are extremely picky and NEVER wear jewelry that they get as gifts from people so I thought, that would be silly to get them jewelry because they aren't going to ever wear it again. thanks ladies...if anyone else has any other ideas keep em coming!

I've bought my girls the following:

Tote bag
Makeup brush kit w/ case (BM's only)
Lip gloss kit (BM's only)
Bath & Body kit (MOH's only)
Jewelry pouch
Totes Isotoners ballet slippers
Double picture frame with a pic of me with each BM on one side and the other side left blank for a wedding pic
Swarovski necklaces

I also plan to buy them a rhinestone brooch for their dress, and maybe a robe. Oh and they all also have the option to get a free mani/pedi, as my sister (MOH) is a manicurist.

I am not getting DOJ for the girls for the wedding. I am letting them wear whatever they want. This is a detail of the wedding I dont care about. I also domt want the girls to have to buy anything. I also am letting them wear whatever shoes they want as well.

I have gotten DOJ for 2 wedding's I was in and never wore it again. I agree with you that if they are picky..etc..dont do it. Plus, you spend the money on somethig they will NEVER wear again.

Bridal Party & Parents Gifts
Bridesmaids: We gave them COACH wristlets we got from the outlet at The Crossings in PA. $49 each. It was fast and easy! There is a 3 max. policy, but when I said it was for a bridal party they waived it. We also got them drop earrings from Sandy's Shoes, Massapequa Park, NY. I got their bracelets from rhinestonejewelry.com. I ordered them on a Thursday, they were here the NEXT day. We got their chinese slippers from BeWild.com. Again... ordered on Thursday, here the next day! I'm paid for my MOH's hair and makeup as well.

Jr. Bridesmaids: We got them iPod shuffles from Apple, Earrings from Sandy's Shoes, bracelets from rhinestonejewelry.com and various stationery from Michael's.

Flower girls: We gave them dress coats (review above), numerous stationery items from Michael's and Build-A-Bear brides.

Groomsmen: While we were at COACH DH and I fell in love with the card wallets and money clips with AMEX gift cards. We are getting the Best Man additional cuff links.
