Need Advice on building a home

Where do we even begin....we have been looking for land but haven't found much. Realtor's don't have much land listed and most of it wasn't in such great areas. Any ideas on how we could come across some land in Western Suffolk. I know that there are some girls on here who have had their homes built....so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. We are just very clueless right now. Thanks in advance

You need to obtain land. Many builders will build on their land if you have the money. Find an area you are interested in and check some local real estate agencies to see if there is any available. In many cases people buy a stinky house in the town they like and demolish most of it and build thier 'new' home there. To bypass tax issues you only need to leave I believe two outer walls of the original structure. Don't quote me on it but that is the jist of how its done!

I agree with Philby. You will save a good amount on your taxes if you renovate an existing home. It will also be easier to find a house that needs work instead of land- there isn't much land on the market right now- esp in western Suffolk. The land that is for sale is so high right now.

I am sending you FM.

I know you said Western Suffolk But.....in Seaford we are going is a ton of vacant land. It is the area down past the 7th precinct by the White Whale. Most of it is on a canal. There are a lot of new homes going up.
